Why Biggest Losers Regain Weight

I have received many emails and messages about the recent NY Times Biggest Loser article over past week.   It’s been all over the news and everyone has been talking about it.   The article shows that almost all Biggest Lower winners gain their weight back.  And what may be the most discouraging to many of you, is that studies show they seriously hurt their metabolisms.  In fact, even years later after they have gained all their weight back, their metabolisms are slower than other people who have never lost weight in the first place.

I understand why many of you may feel hopeless after reading this.  The Biggest Losers have gone through extreme deprivation and countless hours of hard work, only to gain their weight back and hurt their metabolism in the long run.

I’m here to set the record straight and tell you what I think about it.
