What are your “Reasons” for getting healthy?

What are your “Reasons” for getting healthy?

I have large number of  people joining my September Weight-Loss Challenge.  As we take this on together, I am asking my participants to become clear on the “reasons” why their health matters. Goals are great, but “reasons” propel you beyond any goal.

It took me many years to understand this. My “reasons” for making my health a daily focus are Mark, Colin and Sarah. Regardless of my age, I want the energy to play with them, travel with them, while living life to the fullest. I want the energy to have a conversation with Mark after a long day and not just check out by watching TV.  I love my business and want to have the energy to passionately inspire and coach my clients. In essence I need to be the best mom, wife, business owner and woman I can be. Now don’t get me wrong, there are many times when I do over extend, push too hard and fall out of balance – we all do. My point is that my “reasons” are the anchor that snaps me right back and fuel me to become better.

This week, I invite you to write down 3 of your most precious “reasons” why your health matters and make sure they’re powerful enough for those tough moments in life. We all fall off plan, our “reasons” are why we get back on plan. Here’s a pic of my three most powerful reasons and a reminder of how they always make me laugh….(in this picture, we kidnapped Sarah for a surprise birthday weekend getaway, started off with a night of friendly family poker – and guess who lost??)   🙂
